Art has always needed a muse.
Throughout history and across artistic genres, we see explorations of those muses—some innocent, some nefarious.
But what if we were made for a Muse the world doesn’t offer? What if God Himself has given us a thirst and drive for creative inspiration—and He’s also the only One capable of fulfilling it? While I always had a talent for art, I never had the inspiration, leading me to give up and ignore a part of myself I once cherished dearly. But in recent years, I’ve felt the Holy Spirit gently nudging me to pick up my pens again and rediscover this passion. Begrudgingly at first, I obeyed—and to my surprise, where I once lacked direction and purpose, I found a new inspirational imagination for art.
And with this discovery, I began to listen to the identity He spoke over me: an artist, made in the image of the Creator, called to reflect Him through the act of creating—and fulfilling it with Him. The beautiful thing about letting the Holy Spirit into your creative passions? We no longer have to chase the reinvention of our art or ourselves, but are invited to spend time with the greatest and most accessible Muse of all time—the Creator Himself—Who is ready to teach, guide, and reveal His own artistry as we sit with Him and invite Him into ours.
I don’t believe this is a gift or calling He’s given only to me. I truly believe it’s an invitation He’s extending broadly—to every creative He’s personally and uniquely created. And that is what This Wroughten Art is all about.

Most of these are still in process—pieces I plan to revisit and rework with Him. Each is inspired and a reflection of the same wroughting process I find myself in with my Creator and Muse.
